The Objects
The Six Constitutional Objects of Kiwanis are:

- To Give primacy to the human and spiritual, rather than to the material values of life.
​
- To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule* in all human relationships.
​
- To promote the adoption and the applications of higher social, business, and professional standards.
​
- To develop, by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressive, and servable citizenship.
​
- To provide, through Kiwanis Club, a practical means to form enduring friendships, to render altruistic service, and to build better communities.
​
- To cooperate in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and high idealism which make patriotism ** and goodwill.

** Patriotism means fidelity to native and adopted lands which permit individual liberty and spread of international and local goodwill.
Charted on May 30, 1921, Kendall-based Kiwanis Club of Miami has been distributing funds for youth sports and recreational activities since 2000. Paul Zee, a South Florida contractor and longtime member of the club, left money in his will to fund the Miami Kiwanis Youth Foundation. The Kiwanis Club of Miami, one of the oldest Kiwanis clubs in Florida. The Club's first President was Armstead Brown (1921).

The Kiwanis Club of Miami is part of Kiwanis International, a global community of clubs, members and partners dedicated to improving the lives of children one community at a time. With more than 7,000 clubs in 80 countries representing more than 550,000 members, Kiwanis clubs host nearly 150,000 service projects each year.
